Celebrating and presenting this beautiful Shipibo Tapestry woven in the San Juan Shipibo Weaving Community.
This Tapestry is 46cm by 62cm (18.1 inches by 24.4 inches)
This tapestry shows the Heart of Ayahuasca with the Flower of Ayahuasca, which is the woven representation of the cross section of the sacred Ayahuasca Vine when it is cut and prepared to make the Ayahuasca Medicine. Either side of this tapestry are the vines of Chakruna which is the leaf that is cooked together with the Ayahuasca Vine in the preparation of Ayahuasca Medicine and opens the visual part of the Ayahuasca world. The background to the heart of Ayahuasca represents the curves of the Ucayali River, the space in which the 56 Shipibo-Konibo Communities live upon their ancestral lands.
Thank you deeply for your collaboration to the Shipibo Village. Our vision collaborates with Shipibo-Konibo Women who are living upon their ancestral lands in many of the 56 Shipibo Communities along the Ucayali River.
