Full Transparency we have been very busy here at Tantamunay in our service to the Shipibo Family Jochipapanete and the sharing of their ancestral medicine Ayahuasca with all of the guests at the Jochipapanete Ayahuasca Retreat Centre but we have still been connected to the taking of all of your lovely orders for the custom made Shipibo Clothing that serve the families of the Shipibo-Konibo Tribe to stay in tribe with their beautifully crafted Shipibo clothes. The designs are Kene which is the visual representation of the Ayahuasca world which for centuries has been hand embroidered by the women in exchange for what the family needs to survive. As we move into a rapidly changing world the Shipibo are called to find a way to provide for everything the modern world calls for with the skills that are culturally appropriate to their ancestry. Tantamunay work on a grass roots level to enabel women to stay in tribe and have work directly to their jungle based communities, we are working together, women supporting women in our clothing project, Koshi Ainbo, strong women.
