Tantamunay are honoured to share with you the Tantamunay Shipibo Clothing project which has birthed to provide sustainable culturally appropriate work to the women of the Shipibo tribes along the Ucayali River.

So many of our Shipibo brothers and sisters are finding it harder to live and stay upon their ancestral lands in the world they find themselves in today

For so many women, weaving tapestries is the work that they know and excel at, it is the work of their ancestors that historically was exchanged for all that the jungle did not provide

In the third generation Shipibo-Konibo the women are finding themselves in a position of using the sale of tapestries to pay for all that the modern world calls for as they transition out of the jungle whilst still calling to honour their ancestral roots.

It is the hope of this project to provide sustainable culturally appropriate work for the women in the 56 Shipibo communities along the Ucayali River, work that comes directly to their communities through the coordination of the boat system amongst Shipibo families working together to distribute the work equally amongst the community so that once again we can work together to be abundant together, as one Shipibo Family

Many women do not have the access to a global market place, nor access to a Maestro in their communities that brings a flow of visitors that may purchase their artisanal crafts.

For these women, we have created Tantamunay Shipibo Clothing so that all women can have access to a Global Market place and be valued for the beautiful artwork arising from the visions of Ayahuasca.
